IT'S NEW YEAR IN ETHIOPIA(sept 11,2017) Tomorrow September 11,2017 will be Ethiopia's New year day .Meskerem 1 in the Ethiopian calender this date marks the end of the rainy season. This celebration started when the Queen of Sheba(An Ithiopian Queen ) returned from her visit to King Solomon of Isreal in Jerusalem, Her chiefs welcomed her by giving her "enku" jewels.On New years Eve touches made of dry leaves and wood are set on fire in front of houses,while people sing. The next morning which is New Years day, Young and old dresses up in Ethiopian attires to attend church services.After church services family meals is eating ,this meal usually consist of flat bread(Injera)and stew(Wat). LEGENDARY COUNTRY SINGER DON WILLIAMS DIES AT 78  Legendary country singer Don Williams will always be remembered for great songs and his gentle nature.Born May 27, 1939, in Floydada, Texas. NURSE ARESTED FOR REFUSING TO DRAW BLOOD SAMPLE FROM AN UNCONCIOUS MAN Alex Wubbels, was an Alpine skier who competed in the Winter Olympics in 1998 and 2002, she has been working as a nurse at University Hospital since 2009.
